The first quarter of 2007 is now history and provides us with some good news for the Single Family Homes sales in Andover & North Andover. Sales volume for single family homes in the first quarter of 2007 increased by 15.5%. With respect to condominium sales the same did not hold true, in the first quarter 2007 sales volume was
off 19%. But the good news on all segments of the market places is the actual selling prices were relatively stable across the sectors.  So clearly the market place is going through an increase in sales volume along with a stablization of prices. And historically, we also think the latter part of 2005 and 2006 will be looked back and called the "adjustment phase cycle."
 
We are of course hopeful that with lower inventory levels and lower long term interest rates the upcoming quarter should bode well for this initial upward trend in sales volume to continue and get us through to a "post stabilization" phase.
